Along the way, they’ll enjoy sea-inspired experiences – from discovering shells and sea creatures to creating with sand and water. Together, we’ll enjoy the fresh sea air, wide open space, and nature’s playground.

πŸ‘‰ Rainy Day Plan: If the weather isn’t suitable at Tye Park, this session will move to Summer Hill Shelter, Papamoa.

🚻 Toilets are available at the park near the playground. Basic changing facilities are located on the other side of the toilet block.

Our Outdoor Stay & Play sessions are designed for wildlings aged 0–5 years and their caregivers. Created by qualified Early Childhood Teachers, these playgroups provide enriching, nature-inspired opportunities for little ones to explore, create, and connect, while fostering meaningful moments between parent and child.

✨ What to expect:

  • Child-led, nature-inspired play stations
  • Mud/sand, water, and sensory play opportunities
  • Creative, open-ended exploration with sea-inspired themes
  • A welcoming, supportive space for parents and caregivers
  • Time to slow down, be present, and make memories!
  • 🌦️ Messy fun! Please wear older clothes, gumboots, and/or wet-weather gear for your wildlings. Don’t forget a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards.

  • 🧺 Feel free to bring a picnic blanket and some kai to enjoy during or at the end of the session – it’s a beautiful location to soak up the morning, and younger wildlings may even nap on the way home.
