━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Our outdoor Stay & Play sessions are designed for children aged 0–5 years and their caregivers. Created by qualified Early Childhood Teachers, these playgroups provide enriching, nature-inspired opportunities for little ones to explore, create, and connect, while fostering meaningful moments between parent and child.

Our play stations are thoughtfully set up to support all ages and stages of development. With a mix of low tables, ground-level trays, and open-ended materials for sensory exploration, children can engage in ways that suit their abilities and interests. We believe there is no such thing as a single “age-appropriate” experience, every child, from a curious 6-month-old baby to a confident 5-year-old explorer, is capable and competent. Each will discover, explore, and play differently, and all are encouraged to engage at their own pace in a safe and supportive environment.

This week, we’re heading to Waipuna Park in Welcome Bay, a beautiful green space surrounded by open fields, shady trees, and plenty of room for little adventurers to roam. We’ll meet under the trees on the left-hand side of the park, where you’ll find our Wildling Haven play stations ready to inspire curious minds.

Our stations are thoughtfully set up to support all ages and stages of development, with a mix of low tables, ground-level trays, and open-ended materials to encourage discovery and imagination. We believe there’s no such thing as a single “age-appropriate” experience, every child, from a 6-month-old observer to a busy 5-year-old explorer, is competent, capable, and ready to engage in their own unique way.

And if you forget your morning coffee (or simply deserve a little treat!), you’re in luck! Waipuna Park is home to “Pippy’s Pantry”, serving delicious coffee, cabinet food, and tasty bites to keep you fuelled while the kids play.

It’s the perfect morning to slow down, connect, and share in the simple joys of outdoor play, we can’t wait to see you there! 🌞

A World of Play Awaits

A Wildling Haven session will have a variety of sessions, ranging from an infant mat with open-ended resources alongside taking in all the sounds of nature and happy children, to a book mat where children can pause and restart. There's a playdough table, a sensory station and a water station where all sorts of magic can be crafted, be it a tea party, a potion station, or pouring and tipping. We have a non-toxic paint station where children may explore the paint with their whole body or craft artwork to take home, and lastly, an atmosphere where children and parents can connect, chat and be free to play.

Find the wild within
